Margaret Helms and the team at the Waitara Pharmacy are in the same building as the Waitara Health Centre, on the corner of McLean and Domett St in Waitara. They provide a full community pharmacy service.  

Opening hours are:
Monday to Friday:  8.30am to 5.30pm
Saturday:  9.00am to 12 noon.

The pharmacy is staffed by 3 full-time pharmacists, 5 dispensary technicians, and 6 pharmacy assistants.

When a prescription is ordered from the Waitara Health Centre it can be sent to the pharmacy and dispensed ready for you to collect. Prescriptions are usually dropped off twice a day so you should phone to let us know when you would like to collect your medicines. The pharmacy offers a robotic blister packaging service that makes up both weekly and monthly packs for your convenience. They stock a full range of over-the-counter medicines, pharmacist-only medicines, vitamins and health supplements, dedicated skin products, first aid supplies and hair care products. Beauty is well catered for too with Shiseido, Natio, Designer Brands, Maybelline, Trilogy, Sukin and L'Oreal ranges. Ear piercing, passport photos and weight management advice is also available.

A consulting rooms is available for private discussions about your medicines or health needs. The pharmacists at Waitara Pharmacy are trained to provide INR warfarin blood tests, and consultations on the Emergency Contraceptive Pill, treatment for urinary tract infections and Sildenafil.

A unique aspect of Waitara Pharmacy is the gift shop within the pharmacy. A huge range of gifts for all occasions are available, and can be beautifully gift wrapped free of charge.
